AUTOMATED
WARE-HOUSING FOR PALETTES:
This
warehouse is particularly
suitable for housing spare
parts and componentry which
are stored in special
reticular containers with a
capacity of up to 1,500 kg.
The loading and/or refilling
activity is carried out via
the use of a “loading
bay” especially
equipped with a “weighing
platform” and a
“shape checking device”.
The
operator in charge of the
warehouse has the use of a
computer onto which the
loading and unloading lists
are “imported”
from the central computer
system. The
“VELOX”
robot extracts the
containers to be loaded from
the warehouse, hands them
over to the “shuttle”
which transports them to the
“loading bay” where the
operator physically carries
out his work.
The
operators assigned to “picking-up”
operations carry out their
activities via the use of
three “unloading bays“
which are also fitted with a
local processing unit
directly interfaced with the
central computer system from
which it receives the “picking-up
list”.
As
in the case of loading, also
for the unloading operations
the “VELOX” robots take
care of “picking up” the
relative containers and hand
them over to the
“shuttle” which deposits
them in the three “picking
up” bays leaving the
operators free to carry out
their specific activities.
The
containers used for both the
loading and unloading
operations are returned to
the warehouse by the reverse
route, from the “bays”
to the “shuttle” and
from there to the “VELOX”
robots.
